Kimono in Nordic Light

Japanese kimono styling and photography in Sweden,

blending tradition with modern Scandinavian life.

Skönhet i mötet mellan japansk tradition och ett modernt skandinaviskt vardagsliv.

My Philosophy & Journey

Kimono stylist and coordinator
in Sweden

I believe kimono is often seen in Japan as something reserved for special occasions, but I have personally worn kimono in my everyday life.

Even before moving to Sweden in 2024, kimono was a matural part of my daily rhythm, and that feeling has never changed.

After moving to Sweden, I felt a strong desire to share the comfort, beauty, and quiet strength of kimono with people here, and to introduce it as something that can be experienced in everyday life.

I also feel a deep connection between kimono and Swedish values such as craftmanship, sustainability, and the appreciation of well-made, long-lasting things.

Kimono naturally resonates with Swedish daily life and landscapes in a quiet and unexpected way.

Every kimono has a story, and every person brings it to life in a unique way.

I hope this small project becomes a gentle bridge between Japan and Sweden, and that it finds a place in someone´s heart!
